The deadline for nominations for the Family Law Awards 2014 has been extend to Monday, 12 May. Nominate someone now at familylawawards.com.
The awards were set up in 2011 by Jordan Publishing to highlight the important work done by family lawyers whilst bringing the whole profession together for an enjoyable evening.
Since the inaugural Family Law Awards, interest has grown significantly with lots of nominations submitted by lawyers and clients. So far solicitors and law firms have received the most nominations, with fewer nominations received for barristers, chambers and charted chartered legal executives.
Jordan Publishing will once again be proudly supporting The National Pro Bono Centre. The charity supports a wide range of pro bono projects, helping individuals and community groups all over England and Wales. Trustees from the National Pro Bono Centre will be judging the award for the Family Law Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year.
There are 16 award categories this year, including the newly added Family Law Support Service of the Year, Local Authority Family Team of the Year and Family Law Legal Executive or Paralegal of the Year.
Three of the awards will be decided by the family law community.
The shortlist and winners for the remaining awards will be chosen by a judging panel made up of the heads of the three family law practitioners' associations, ie the Family Law Bar Association, Resolution and the Association of Lawyers for Children, along with Family Law editors and Jordan Publishing executives.
