Eleanor Hamilton QC is appointed as a High Court Judge at the Family Division

Miss Eleanor Warwick Hamilton QC has been appointmented as a Justice of the High Court.

The Lord Chief Justice will assign Miss Hamilton to the Family Division.

Miss Hamilton will use her married name on appointment and will be known as Mrs Justice Eleanor King.

Miss Hamilton, 50, was called to the Bar by the Inner Temple in 1979 and took Silk in 1999. She was appointed a Recorder in 2000 and is approved to sit as a deputy High Court Judge.
