From secretary to partner

Date:8 APR 2008

A Norwich based solicitor has been made a partner just six years after commencing her career as her firm's secretary.

Amy Walpole has become the first female partner at Rogers & Norton where she specialises in Family Law.

Amy returned to her native Norwich in 2002 after completing her law studies in Guildford and applied for a secretarial position at Rogers & Norton. Whilst her typing was not the best, the firm were impressed by her enthusiasm and offered her a training contract.

Commenting on her appointment, Richard Etheridge, Rogers & Norton's managing partner said:
"Our congratulations go to Amy on her great achievement. Although Amy is our first female partner, what is more important is the drive and new ideas she will bring to the partnership which will not only benefit the firm but also our clients."
