Ruth Lamont

Specialises in conflict of laws and family law Ruth's work focuses on the regulation of family life through private international law, particularly by the EU. In particular, she is concerned with the rules which apply on family dissolution and issues of gender and equality within transnational family disputes, and the interaction of domestic family law with European international family law in these areas. Ruth has published articles on Brussels II Revised, on international child abduction and on the handling of cases involving claims of domestic violence. Ruth teaches a specialist modules on the Conflict of Laws.
