Professor Peter Walton LLB, PhD

Professor of Insolvency Law | University of Wolverhampton
Professor Walton has taught at the University of Wolverhampton for over twenty years. He is the Director of the University’s Law Research Centre. He has published widely on all aspects of insolvency law and his work has been quoted by the New Zealand Law Commission, cited by the New Zealand High Court, cited in argument in the Privy Council and been relied upon by the UK Supreme Court. He has conducted significant research projects on behalf of the UK Government and the UK insolvency profession. His research has been cited in UK Parliamentary debates on numerous occasions as well as being the subject of Parliamentary early day motions. He co-authors, with Professor Andrew Keay, a well-received textbook entitled Insolvency Law: Corporate and Personal and is the General Editor of Totty, Moss and Segal on Insolvency.
