Matthew was called to the Bar in 2015 and is a member of St John’s Chambers, Bristol. He originally qualified as a solicitor in 1997, practised for over a decade in the Brussels office of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP and was formerly partner in Burges Salmon’s Competition Group.
Matthew has extensive experience of all aspects of UK, EU and international competition law, including competition disputes, antitrust and regulatory investigations, merger control, State aid, procurement and economic regulation. He is an editor of the Competition Law Journal (Jordan Publishing).
