Judy Eaton

Judy Eaton is employed as the Lead Consultant Clinical Psychologist in an independent CAMHS Tier Four hospital which assesses and treats adolescents with highly complex and challenging behaviour. She also leads on the assessment and diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Conditions across the Group. Prior to this she was the clinical lead for an NHS Tier Three CAMHS team in the West Midlands. She was an integral part of the West Midlands Criminal Justice forum which developed the first ‘Attention Card’ for young people with Autism who came into contact with the criminal justice system. She has acted as an expert witness in criminal cases where the defendant has Autism and in care proceedings cases when young parents have neurodevelopmental difficulties. Her particular area of interest is girls with Autism and she has taught, presented and published in this area with specific focus on Pathological Demand Avoidance (a form of Autism).
