John Castleton is a Counselling Psychologist (BPS Chartered & HCPC Registered), with a special interest in substance misuse. Since 1982, he has provided psychosocial services to a variety of clients (individuals, couples, families & groups; ages 12-70; people of different cultures & abilities) who have presented with a range of difficulties (substance misuse, anxiety, depression, stress, PTSD, phobias, bereavement). He has worked as a practitioner, manager and consultant, in the statutory, voluntary and commercial sectors. He has been in independent practice since 2000 (including acting as an expert witness and completing the Bond Solon Expert Witness Certificate). He also works in an NHS community mental health team.
