Helen is a senior mediator and one of the founding partners of Wells Family Mediation and The Wells Group working with clients in Tunbridge Wells and in Central London. She has lectured regularly on Family Mediation, including training new family court judges at the Judicial College. Helen was the mediator representative on the Private Law Working Group, which examined how family law disputes are resolved in England and Wales, and how that might be improved. In 2020 Helen was invited to set up and Chair the Family Solutions Group, and its report 'What about me?' focusing on the needs of the child following family separation, was published in November 2020.
