Lawyer
Darren Heath qualified as a solicitor in private practice (Lovells, now Hogan Lovells), but since 2007 has been an in-house lawyer for companies such as Orange/EE, the Financial Times, the Association of Corporate Treasurers, Cambridge University Press and the Royal Institute of British Architects, all through Lawyers On Demand, the flexible lawyering scheme set up by law firm BLP.
His expertise is in commercial law, primarily intellectual property, data protection and media. And he also carries out all the legal work for the two production companies he co-founded and co-runs: First Born Films, which produces fictional dramas and documentaries (http://www:firstbornfilms.co.uk) and JurisProductions, which produces corporate promotional films, training films and audio podcasts (which he also writes and presents) (http://www:jurisproductions.co.uk).
