Divorce – Jurisdiction – Maintenance order
By a majority, the Supreme Court dismissed the husband’s appeal, holding that the husband’s divorce proceedings in Scotland was not a ‘related action’ within Article 13 of Council Regulation (EC) No 4/2009, such that it had no application to permit the English court to decline jurisdiction in relation to the wife’s maintenance claim.
