Medical treatment – Vulnerable adult – Local authority issuing application under the court’s inherent jurisdiction with a view to obtaining orders to protect her.

Before a Local Authority makes an application it should demonstrate that it has appropriately considered whether the person is likely to understand the purpose of the injunction; will receive knowledge of the injunction; and will appreciate the effect of breach of that injunction.
