Sir James Munby, the President of the Family Division, has revised the guidance (issued on 13 October 2014) for the Family Court on the duration of ex parte (without notice) orders.

The new guidance issued today [18 January 2017] supersedes the existing guidance and provides new assistance for practitioners and HMCTS staff.
