New Financial Remedies Unit pilot scheme for electronic filing of documents
Date:7 NOV 2016
Third slide
The Financial Remedies Unit at the Central Family Court has issued a local practice direction pilot scheme in relation to all applications for financial remedies and financial orders (as defined under r 2.3 of the FPR 2010). The operation of the Pilot Scheme will be reviewed in April 2017.

The Direction supplements, and does not derogate from, the operation of FPR 2010, r 5.5 and PD5B within the Financial Remedies Unit.

The Direction does not apply to:
  • The Petition for Divorce, Nullity or Dissolution of Civil Partnership or proceedings thereunder;
  • Any contempt proceedings; or
  • Children Proceedings (save for Financial Remedies or Financial Orders).
All applications for the issue of financial proceedings, or applications made within financial remedy proceedings that were issued since 1 January 2016, maybe made by email to the Financial Remedies Unit at the Central Family Court at cfc.efiling.fru@hmcts.gsi.gov.uk.
