New care applications received by Cafcass represent the highest ever number for any one month
Latest figures released by Cafcass reveal that new care applications received in July 2016 are continuing to rise and represent the highest ever number of applications for any one month.In July 2016, Cafcass received a total of 1,305 care applications. This figure represents a 16% increase compared to those received in July 2015 (1,123). In total Cafcass received 4,959 new care applications between April and July 2016.The latest year to date demand is 20.4% (841 applications) higher than April to July 2015 and 38.5% (1,378 applications) higher than April to July 2014.The full figures are available on the Cafcass website.
