Mr Justice Mostyn (with the authorisation of the President of the Family Division) has released a 'Statement on the Efficient Conduct of Financial
Remedy Hearings Allocated to a High Court Judge whether Sitting at the Royal Courts of Justice or Elsewhere'.
The purpose of the Statement is to provide a set of standards and procedures to enhance efficiency in the disposal of financial remedy cases allocated to be heard by a High Court Judge, and to ensure that such cases are allotted an appropriate share of the court’s resources.
The Statement includes allocation criteria and the methods by which cases should be transferred, and provides guidance on financial proceedings cases that are to be allocated to a judge of the High Court by self-certification, along with the certificate.Click here
