Revised guidance on exceptional funding in inquest cases takes into account Court of Appeal decision in Letts v The Lord Chancellor.


On 20 August 2015, the Lord Chancellor published revised guidance on civil legal aid funding in inquest cases. It takes into account the conclusions of the Court of Appeal in the case of Letts v The Lord Chancellor.

Caseworkers

The guidance sets out some of the factors that caseworkers will need to take into account when looking at applications for exceptional funding and so should be useful to legal aid providers and potential claimants who are considering applying for exceptional funding.
