LOCAL AUTHORITY/ AGE ASSESSMENT: MC v Liverpool County Council [2010] EWHC 2211 (Admin)

There was a dispute as to the age of the claimant who claimed to be 14 years old, but social services had assessed him to be 16 years old.

In relation to the burden of proof in such age assessment cases, the process of assessment is not a choice between alternatives but can fall within a range.
