(Court of Appeal; Sir N Wall P, Rimer and Jackson LJJ; 6 December 2011)
Supervised contact with the father was ordered. The father appealed. The father had two cautions for having sexual intercourse with underage girls. The mother had 5 children and there were concerns about her parenting abilities. An assessment of the father showed his use of internet pornography to be of concern and advised he attended a 10 months sex offender internet treatment programme. The father did not accept report and requested a second opinion.
The Judge had not erred in refusing to order a second expert report on the risk the father posed. Art 8 rights of all the parties had been balanced.
