Unusually, the Court of Appeal allowed an appeal in relation to interim arrangements for contact where it was agreed in principle that there should be some contact. In ordering supervision of contact by the paternal grandmother instead of in a contact centre, the judge had failed to weigh many relevant issues such as the background of domestic violence and the alleged involvement of the grandmother, and the grandmother's ability to protect the child.
