Yesterday evening Withers hosted a party to celebrate the launch of a new book Same Sex Marriage and Civil Partnerships: The New Law, written by Mark Harper, S Chelvan, Martin Downs, Katharine Landells and Gerald Wilson.

The book explains the new law on same sex marriage and civil partnership, drawing on statute and case-law, and in particular the relevant ECHR jurisprudence. It is aimed at solicitors and barristers who practise in family, immigration, asylum, housing and chancery law.

The event was a great success, and it was a fine way to celebrate the launch of such an important title.

A book review will be published on the Family Law website soon.
