Form A and Form A1 have been amended in discussion with members of the Financial Proceedings Working Party of the Family Procedure Rule Committee. These changes are in consequence of the amendments to Part 9 FPR to provide for financial remedy applications to be dealt with through the standard procedure or fast-track procedure, as appropriate, and come into effect today (4 June 2018). These rule amendments were published in the Family Procedure (Amendment) Rules 2018 (SI 2018/440).

Applications for one or more orders indicated on Form A (primarily but not exclusively matrimonial cases, as for current Form A) will be listed on the standard track. Form A1 now deals with a more limited range of orders to be dealt with under the fast-track (or standard track if the court subsequently decides to move the proceedings to that track).

Previous versions of these forms will not be accepted on or after today.
Changes have also been made to Form D50C to provide for an application to be made for orders that may be on the standard or fast track.

No changes are proposed to the financial statement forms E, E1 or E2.

The Ministry of Justice has also provided a copy of the privacy notice for family court forms in light of the coming into force of the General Data Protection Regulations. This is available on gov.uk and will be handed by court staff to all applicants requesting paper copies of a form. Respondents will also receive a copy of this form when first notified about these proceedings. Where an applicant is responsible for service of the court papers, court staff will provide sufficient copies of the privacy notice for each respondent.
