With the agreement of the President of the Family Division, Sir Andrew McFarlane, three new standard orders have been issued by Mr Justice Mostyn, comprising directions on issue and allocation, directions on first hearing and an order on final hearing in relation to deprivation of liberty of a child. In addition, an amendment to the standard order financial remedy omnibus has been issued, providing for a new paragraph 25A, comprising a suggested form of words where the parties agree that the whole case, or a specific issue within it, should be referred to arbitration.
What are the new standard orders?
Three new standard orders have been issued, in relation to deprivation of liberty of a child. The orders are those that were proposed by the former President of the Family Division, Sir James Munby, in July 2018 as an annex to his judgment in Re A-F (Children) (No 2) [2018] EWHC 2129 (Fam)

What is the amendment to the financial remedy omnibus?
An amendment to Standard order 2.1-financial remedy order-omnibus has been issued, providing for a new paragraph 25A comprising a suggested form of words where the parties agree that the whole case, or a specific issue within it, should be referred to arbitration.
