In August 2016, Cafcass received a total of 1,258 care applications.  This figure represents a 34% increase compared to those received in August 2015. 

Between April 2015 and March 2016 Cafcass received a total of 12,781 applications. This figure is 15% higher when compared to the same period last year, when 10,620 applications were received.
