Unable to make it to this year's FLBA conference? On Saturday, a few hundred barristers, solicitors, academics and other family law professionals gathered at the Hilton Hotel in the city centre of Liverpool.
Following the opening talks and the FLBA's Annual General Meeting, which Lexis Nexis did not attend, a number of in-depth talks followed. Have a look.
Full house at this year's FLBA conference
Family Law was also present at the event, with Kathryn and Rebecca manning the Lexis Nexis stand.
Professor Beth Neil, director of research at the University of East Anglia, gave a moving talk about adoption issues. Find a more detailed report
HERE and videos of her talk HERE and HERE.
Can you guess which world-famous painting is being discussed during the 5 minutes of well-being? Hint: it's one of Picasso's masterpieces and it hangs in the Reina Sofia museum in Madrid.
Next up was Frances Heaton QC, who talked about children, deprivation of liberty and secure accommodation. Despite the serious issues she touched on, Heaton was undoubtedly one of the most entertaining speakers at the event. Video HERE.
Also speaking at the event on Saturday was Liz Trinder, professor at the University of Exeter, about the current divorce law and recently proposed amendments to the current legislative framework. Video
