Hughes Fowler Carruthers, is pleased to announce that Mark Harper has joined the firm. Mark was formerly a senior partner within Withers’ family department.

Mark Harper said:

'Whilst I have very much enjoyed my years at Withers, I am very excited by this new position at Hughes Fowler Carruthers, London’s top niche practice. Both firms are ranked first equal in the directories for family law, enjoy a mutual respect and good working relationship, which I am confident will continue.'
Mark is a recognised expert on trusts and international divorce. He is currently the European Chapter President of the International Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (IAML). He co-authored International Trust and Divorce Litigation (Second Edition) and Same Sex Marriage & Civil Partnerships. He is regularly listed as one of the UK’s top 10 family lawyers, recognised in both Chambers and Legal 500 directories and in Spear’s Wealth Management’s Family Law Index. He is variously described by professional colleagues as 'a truly outstanding lawyer' an 'excellent practitioner,' 'whose attention to detail and intellectual vigour cannot be overstated'. 'Harper is without doubt the best technician in London'… 'Harper’s gift is desirable in multiple situations but most especially if you are forum shopping.'
