The Family Justice Council is holding its 12th Annual Debate and panel discussion in Leeds on Monday, 3rd December 2018, from 5.00pm to 7.00pm.

The topic for this year’s debate is the use of covert recordings in family law. The motion reads:

‘Nothing to hide – what’s wrong with covert recordings?’

The event will be chaired by Lord Justice Baker, Lord Justice of Appeal and Deputy Chair of the Family Justice Council. Speakers will include:

  • Lucy Reed – Family barrister, Chair of the Transparency Project, legal author and blogger and Deputy District Judge.
  • Hannah Markham QC – Family law silk, children arbitrator and family mediator.
