This article examines the international and domestic legal framework for the protection and treatment of unaccompanied minor refugees in the UK and the extent to which this legal framework might mask rather harsher practices and policy. By reference to case studies of the real experiences of refugee children, the difficulties facing one of the most vulnerable group of people today are explored.
