Financial remedies – Hadkinson order – Appeal – Application to reopen the hearing
The husband’s application to reopen the proceedings was unsuccessful.
Following the husband’s unsuccessful appeal of a Hadkinson order, he sought permission to re-open the hearing and present further evidence.
The application was refused. The appeal hearing had provided ample opportunity for scrutiny, for full and frank disclosure. Criticisms of the procedure below had been addressed and the trial judge had been found to not be wrong in his process. There was no basis to reopen the hearing.
