The Family Division concluded that it was likely that the child’s mother had caused the genital injuries in the course of a failed attempt at FGM and had then strangled the child. There was a real risk of serious harm or death to the children in the family.

Public law children – Findings of fact – Care orders

The Family Division concluded that it was likely that the child’s mother had caused the genital injuries in the course of a failed attempt at FGM and had then strangled the child. There was a real risk of serious harm or death to the children in the family.
