(Court of Appeal; Mummery, Munby LJJ and Hedley J; 9 June 2011)
Two children aged 6 and 3 subject to a series of interim care orders due to allegations of sexual abuse and domestic violence by their father. The father appealed judge's finding that children had been sexually abused. Appeal dismissed.
The procedural deficiencies in the ABE interviews had not been sufficient to justify allowing the appeal, the judge was entitled to attach sufficient weight to the interviews in combination with the other evidence to make the findings he did.
