International Conference: The Legal Status of Transsexual and Transgender Persons

"How Legal Systems Manage and Mismanage Sex and Gender Diversity"

Venue: Academic Conference Room, 11/F, Cheng Yu Tung Tower, Centennial Campus, The University of Hong Kong

Registration Fee

1. Early bird on or before Aug 15 - HK$1,000 per day;

2. Regular rate after Aug 15 - HK$1,200 per day.

Registration fee is waived for staff and students of HKU and other UGC-funded universities

Registration fee is non-refundable and includes conference materials, lunch and tea breaks

CPD accreditations from the Law Society of Hong Kong will be applied for.

This conference will compare and contrast the different approaches and requirements in a number of common and civil law jurisdictions. It will also examine questions that are thus far under-researched, namely what the full consequences of a change of legal gender should be.
