Clive is a principal lecturer in law and one of the country's leading comedy writers. His television credits include: Dead Ringers, Spitting Image, Smith and Jones and Chambers his hit sit-com about barristers.

Welcoming the announcement, the newly appointed CEO of Jordan Publishing, Will Ricketts, said: "In a period of great uncertainty in the family law profession, we feel it is an excellent time to launch the Awards to recognise the difficult work that family law practitioners do, which too often goes unnoticed.

"We are delighted that Clive has agreed to host the inaugural Family Law Awards reception and we're really looking forward to an entertaining, luminary and worthwhile evening in October."

The awards will be presented in eight categories ranging from Family Law Firm of the Year to Most Innovative Family Lawyer of the Year. Tickets can be booked and nominations can be submitted via the Family Law Awards website: www.familylawawards.com.

The awards ceremony will be held at the Hilton Hotel on Park Lane in London on 18 October 2011 following the popular Family Law Conference, the leading annual training event for family law practitioners.
