Hazel qualified in 1981, and has worked in family law for over 30 years. Formerly head of the Family Law Department and of the Private Client Group at Cumberland Ellis LLP, she became a partner at Hunters in January 2013.
She has substantial experience in advising separating and divorcing couples. Her clients come from the UK and many other jurisdictions, and include people in the legal, military, medical, accountancy and banking professions, entrepreneurs and new media providers.
Her main work is in the financial consequences of relationship breakdown, often dealing with pension and trust issues. She has a particular interest in cases involving children. She deals with a considerable number of both prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, as well as work for civil partners and unmarried couples.
Hazel has an established and active practice as an accredited mediator and a qualified collaborative lawyer.
She is a member of Resolution, for whom she also works as a mentor of other family lawyers. She is a trustee of the Tavistock Centre for Couple Relationships, the internationally renowned provider of highly specialised and affordable couple counselling and psychotherapy.
Hazel is recommended as a prominent figure in family and matrimonial law and as a power woman in the CityWealth Leaders List 2015 as well as being listed as a leading individual in the Legal 500 2014
