New Family Law Newswatch opinion column by young lawyers

Family Law is delighted to announce the launch of a new weekly opinion column on the Newswatch website.

The column will be written by young solicitors about their views of the family justice system. Four solicitors from the London based firm The International Family Law Group LLP (iFLG) will take turns to write fortnightly about their views from the point of view of privately funded family work, while a newly qualified solicitor about to start at Manchester firm Heaney Watson will write on the alternate week about her experiences working in a legal aid practice. 

The column starts today with an opinion piece from Hannah Budd from The International Family Law Group on the relevancy of prenuptial agreements to young couples. Hannah is an Assistant Solicitor with iFLG and specialises in complex ancillary relief cases often with an international element.  

The other lawyers from The International Family Law Group are:

Lucy Loizou - Lucy is a fluent Greek speaking Solicitor and Associate with iFLG and acts in complex financial and children disputes. She has worked on a number of cases involving high net worth issues often involving an international element.

Jenny Green - Jenny is a solicitor at iFLG. Jenny trained at a large regional law firm in the Thames Valley and qualified as a solicitor in 2008 when she joined iFLG. Jenny undertakes a wide spectrum of legal issues resulting from family and relationship breakdown.

Mandeep Dhami - Mandeep is a solicitor at iFLG. Although Mandeep undertakes all issues that arise in a family or relationship breakdown, her particular specialism is in international child abduction and international child contact disputes.

From Heaney Watson, Kate Gomery will be writing her fortnightly column about her experiences as a newly qualified solicitor working in legal aid. Kate trained at Pannone LLP and is due to start working for Heaney Watson in Liverpool on Monday.
