Private law cases received by Cafcass in October 2016 increase by 9%

In October 2016, Cafcass received a total of 3,505 new private law cases. This figure represents a 9% increase compared to those received in October 2015 and marks the second highest monthly demand since March 2014 which was the last full month prior to the implementation of the Child Arrangements Programme.The latest year to date demand is 11.6% (2,501 cases) higher than April to October 2015 and 23.6% (4,594 cases) higher than April to October 2014.The full figures are available on the Cafcass website.
