The Legal Aid Agency (LAA) has published its annual report and accounts 2013-2014, which shows how the new agency has performed in its first year.

The document outlines how the LAA delivered against its three strategic objectives and key performance indicators, as well as setting out its financial performance during the year.

The audited accounts 2013-2014 show the statement of comprehensive net expenditure, which provides a summary of costs and income, and the statement of financial position detailing the assets and liabilities as at 31 March 2014.

In addition, the LAA has published its business priorities for April 2014 to March 2015.

The business plan is set out in two sections:
  1. ‘Who we are’, providing details of the LAA, including reflections from staff on the organisation’s first year as an executive agency.
  2. 'Business priorities’, focusing on the organisation’s priorities for the year ahead, its future and its focus on continuing to make the organisation a better place to work.
