Get ready for the Family Law Awards 2014

Journals Manager + Online Editor

Family Law Award TrophiesJordan Publishing will be accepting nomination submissions for the Family Law Awards 2014 through the Family Law Awards website on Monday, 3 February 2014. The deadline for nomination entries is Monday, 28 April 2014.

The awards ceremony will be held on Wednesday, 8 October 2014 at the historic venue, The Brewery in the City of London.

In order to reflect the ground-breaking services being put in place by a range of organisations, this year's Family Law Awards will see the former category of ‘Most Innovative Family Lawyer of the Year' expand to the more inclusive and encompassing award of ‘Family Law Support Service of the Year'.

The ‘Local Authority Family Lawyer of the Year', introduced for the first time at last year's awards to recognise the challenging and valuable work done by in-house solicitors in local authorities, will now be awarded to a local authority family team. Finally, the award of ‘Family Law Legal Executive of the Year' has also been changed to include paralegals.

The shortlist and winners will be chosen by a judging panel made up of the heads of the Family Law Bar Association, Resolution and the Association of Lawyers for Children, along with Family Law editors and publishing executives.

In keeping with tradition, three of this year's awards will be voted for by the family law community (Support Service, Legal Executive or Paralegal, and Commentator awards). A shortlist of four nominees will be selected by Jordan Publishing from the nominations received and voting will open on the Family Law Awards website in July.

Jordan Publishing will once again be proudly supporting the The National Pro Bono Centre. The charity supports a wide range of pro bono projects, helping individuals and community groups all over England and Wales.

Tickets are now available to purchase from the awards website either individually at £99 + VAT or for a table of eight at £700 + VAT. All previous Family Law Awards ceremonies have sold out, so book early to avoid disappointment.
