Fee waived for couples converting civil partnerships into marriage

Culture Secretary and Minister for Equalities, Sajid Javid MP, has confirmed that same-sex couples in civil partnerships will face no additional costs in converting their relationships to marriages for a period of 12 months from 10 December.

The fee of £45 will be waived for couples who entered into civil partnerships before 29 March 2014.
