Care applications received by Cafcass in April 2016 increase by 28%

In
April 2016, Cafcass received a total of
1,221 care applications. This figure represents a
28% increase compared to those received in
April 2015 and a
25% increase compared to
March 2014.
Between
April 2015 and
March 2016 Cafcass received a total of
12,758 applications.
This figure is
14% higher when compared in the previous financial year, when
11,159 applications were received.
