How to get the best out of your clients

In handling divorce cases there is often a balancing act. It is essential to remain apart from the emotional turmoil of the clients while at the same time being sympathetic to their grief. The more you can help the clients manage their emotions the better their divorce experience will be. You will be able to focus on the law instead of being an unofficial therapist and the client will make more logical decisions. They may even be able to do the paperwork in a more timely fashion, while you can handle some of the more frustrating phone calls from anxious clients. This article looks at why client management matters and what emotional stages divorcing clients are experiencing during this life transition. Find out what is going on for your clients and get some practical pointers on managing their emotional state.
